Privacy Policy

The data controller is Aleksandra Szczepaniak, conducting business under the name: WeDo Academy ALEKSANDRA SZCZEPANIAK, with its registered office in Wrocław (ul. Wietrzna 46/18, 53-024 Wrocław, NIP: 8961354631).
The Controller processes Users’ personal data based on and in connection with the concluded agreement for the provision of electronic services.
The purpose of processing personal data is to provide Users with services in the form of content delivery, enabling contact with the Controller, and for newsletter subscriptions.
Providing personal data is voluntary, but failure to do so may significantly hinder or even prevent the full use of the electronic services provided by the Controller.
Users’ personal data is collected by the Controller in the following cases:
a. when Users use the Controller’s website (address: https://wedo.academy),
b. when information is provided and posted on the Controller’s website,
c. during correspondence between the User and the Controller.
As a rule, the Controller does not transfer personal data to other entities, subject to points 7 and 8.
Exceptions to the rule of not transferring personal data are:
a. transferring personal data at the request of an authorized body (police, prosecutor’s office, courts, etc.),
b. transferring personal data to entities that conduct marketing communication with the User’s consent,
c. transferring personal data to other entities based on applicable laws,
d. transferring personal data to other entities to ensure the proper provision of electronic services to the User.
Access to the data collected by the Controller may be granted to external companies providing services to the Controller, particularly in areas such as: hosting, server maintenance, database maintenance, sending automated information to Users, service, diagnostic and repair work, marketing, analytics, accounting, email, providing website widgets, providing a helpdesk system, electronic payment intermediation, providing an e-commerce platform, and backups. These entities are data recipients, acting as so-called processors on behalf of and at the direction of the Controller. The Controller ensures that these entities store data within the European Union, or if stored outside the European Union, that the data is adequately secured.
As a rule, the Controller does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (European Union), and if such a situation occurs, it only involves entities that meet the requirements set by the European Commission.
The Controller also transfers anonymized files, so-called cookies, to external entities. This data alone does not allow for the identification of a specific User’s activity but helps determine the geographical, statistical, and demographic data of Users. The purpose of transferring this data is to tailor advertisements and other similar messages directed to Users.

The Controller will store personal data for the entire duration of the agreement for the provision of electronic services. After the termination of the agreement, personal data will be stored for a period of 6 years to secure claims, fulfill tax obligations, handle complaint procedures, and for archival purposes.
The User has the right to data portability concerning their personal data. The right to data portability means that the User has the right to receive the personal data they provided to the Controller in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, so that they can transmit this data to another controller. One can also request that the Controller transmit this personal data to another controller indicated by the data subject, provided it is technically feasible.
Marketing communication is conducted via email or other similar tools.
The User has the right to access their personal data, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, the right to object, and the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
The Controller may refuse access to personal data and refuse its modification or deletion only when permitted by generally applicable law.
While using the website, information such as IP address, hostname, browser type, operating system type, access time, addresses of visited pages on the Service, and the address of the website from which the User was redirected to the Controller’s website is automatically collected.
The data is stored in a database on the Controller’s servers or on servers belonging to the Controller’s suppliers, using technical and organizational measures required by applicable law.
The Controller applies security measures to protect data against loss, misuse, or modification.
The Service also collects anonymous data about visited pages, such as: number of visits, country, browser, visit time, etc. The Controller analyzes the collected data using a third-party solution, which is Google Analytics and Google Adwords. Details of the privacy policy can be found by clicking on the provider’s name.
This privacy policy applies only to the Controller’s Website. The Controller’s website may contain links to other websites, and therefore, the Controller recommends that after navigating to other sites, you familiarize yourself with the privacy policy established there.

The User has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw) if they believe that a violation of their personal data processing has occurred.

COOKIE POLICY

Cookies are small pieces of text sent by the Controller’s website to the User’s browser, saved in the device’s memory, and sent back to the website each time. Local Storage and Session Storage variables (collectively called Web Storage) are similar to cookies, except that the browser does not send them to the Service with every request.
Both cookies and Web Storage variables can be deleted after closing the User’s browser (session cookies and Session Storage variables) or stored for a longer period (persistent cookies and Local Storage variables).
The technologies described above are widely used to enable the operation and improve the performance of websites and to collect data about User behavior.
Using these cookies and Web Storage variables, the Controller ensures the efficient and secure operation of all functions of the Controller’s website. Additionally, the Controller can identify Users. The following files are used for this purpose:

Most web browsers default to allowing cookies and Web Storage variables to be placed on your device. However, you can configure your browser not to do so.
